Lower right paddle: Sprint (I really don't like pressing down the left thumbstick) Upper right paddle: Thrust (you can't shoot while thrusting, so I use the same hand) Lower left paddle: Crouch (same logic as above) Upper Left Paddle: Jump (put it on opposite hand from trigger since you want to jump and shoot at the end of your strafe - if it was on the right side you would have to use your index and middle finger at the same time, which have connected tendons, so it is kind of odd/hard to do) Right Thumbstick Curve: delay (set to radial and lowest curve setting - this is pretty much the same as default without the deadzones in the corners - do circles on default in the curve menu and you will see what I'm talking about)ī: reload/pick up weapon - I use this for pick up weapon because holding the thumbstick seems unreliable Left Thumbstick: Reload/weapon pick up (I only use it for reload) Left Thumbstick Curve: Aggressive (quick acceleration - a little faster strafe) RB: Grenade toss (you almost always stop firing when you toss a grenade) LB: Melee (you can melee while holding down the RT (firing) and it overrides fire, so you get every shot possible in before meleeing - there is a medal for this "Gun Punch" I never got this before I changed it to the left bumper, now I get it constantly) Here are my exact settings (start from default layout than map buttons): Please keep all spoilers out of submission titles. I recently added Crouch to the left upper paddle.
I used to only use two paddles on the back of the controller. I didn't want it to move when I didn't want it to) Inner dead zone: 3% (I found that any lower and me resting my thumb on the joystick would get some slight movement. I believe I'm on standard because I wasn't brave enough to switch it. I have no idea if I should be on smooth or standard. It was like learning to play all over again. And since I went to using the longer right joystick for aiming and added the paddles. It took me a very long time to get comfortable with my settings.
